Submission Guidelines

When we created Eudaemonia, we created it as an informal space for writers from all over the world to share their joy of writing, regardless of age and experience. This has not changed. We look for thoughtful and expressive writing in the form of poems, both conventional and in prose form, that hitherto has not been published, and our editors stand ready to provide feedback and advice.

GUIDELINES

We are currently only accepting reviews from the editorial team.

The submission should contain a poem of no more than 550 words, with an explanation of its themes and presentation of no more than 250 words on the page following the poem. For submissions with more than one poem, there must be one explanation for each poem following the relevant poem. Each poem and explanation should begin on a new page. The total length of the submission should not exceed 10 pages.

The submission should be written in English. Terms in other languages are accepted, but must be briefly explained at the end of the submission.

Each poem must have a title.

Your name should appear at the top of each page, directly followed by the social media account we should direct Eudaemonia's readers to in order to find you. Should you wish to remain anonymous, this must be specified in the email.

The submission should not have been previously published. If it is being considered by another publication, this must be specified in the email, and we ask that you notify us by email at eudaemoniarecords@gmail.com as soon as you learn of an acceptance elsewhere.

The rights to the work revert to the writer after publication. Should a submission be chosen for publication in an anthology, the writer's permission to publish will be asked.

We are currently unable to pay contributors.

All submissions should be sent as one PDF file or .doc file to eudaemoniarecords@gmail.com. We accept more than one submission from each writer, but do not guarantee that all submissions will be published. The attached file must be labelled with the writer's name.

The email header should read: SUBMISSION_Writer's Name [e.g. SUBMISSION_Terry Walters].

We aim to respond to each submission within a reasonable amount of time, but may not always be able to do so. If you have not heard back from us within a month and would like to know the status of your submission, please write an email to eudaemoniarecords@gmail.com with your name in the header.
