353: To My Sister

I enter your storm
You enter mine
Yours is white
Mine is black
Yours is snow
Mine is lightning
Yours is ice
Mine is thunder
But in their eyes
we're both the same:
forgotten
and alone
What if I took your storm
and ripped it in half?
What if I showed you
the northern lights?
What if you reached the island
in the middle of my storm?
What if you found it
flourishing in the sunlight?
What if I brought you to the island
and showed you what life could be?
What if you led me off the island
and showed me how
to love the storm?
What if I watched you
run into the sunlight,
and you watched me laugh
with lightning in my hands?
What a wonderful life it would be.
