I remember you sat on the wall
In your skirt and leather jacket
And I asked if you were an 'anime person'
And you beamed and said 'yes'
And I got lost in your eyes for the first time
I remember the first time we kissed in public
Right under that balcony
Katy Perry was right
It felt so right
And I remember you and her
Holding my head above the flowerbed as I keeled over
But I said I didn't want to throw up on the flowers
And so we kept walking
And also the last time I saw you
Headphones on
Staring at your phone
I couldn't face you
So I had to keep walking
Of course I remember
Also
Going into Nisa
And arguing over which washing up liquid to get
And you marvelling at the prices
And me marvelling at you
Your voice
Your assuredness
Your refusal to accept the state of the world
And so leaving it
And now I have to keep walking
