I stand
Eyes closed
Palms open
I see you
Hands intertwined
Hearts beating together
Feeding the fire
I see it.
I'm so cold —
I almost reach out to feel that warmth
But I know I have my own flame
In my own heart
It's weathered countless storms
That you cannot begin to imagine
I've survived alone
And heaven help you if you think
That you can dim this light
