328: Winter Holiday
- Eudaemonia Records

We celebrate
with food that makes our stomachs rumble,
with spices that remind us
of holidays long gone.
Music fills the kitchen
where wine is poured
while the meat roasts and we
snack on gingerbreads and chestnuts
when (we think) nobody is watching.
Later,
we will wrap ourselves in blankets
and sit before the fireplace,
recounting stories
of the year now gone.
But for now
we laugh
and drink our wine
and wait
for the holiday to start.
