I taste blood
salty
deep red
metallic and unearthly
somewhere between the sea and the rocks
I lie bleeding
having long floated
across the troubled tides
the sea and sky melt into one
the waves having tossed me to my ruin
the clouds passing overhead
cruel and callous
for the wind moves us
and we must move with it
