304: Blind to the Sun

It's dark when I wake up
No light, no light
Only the frozen, prickling air on my skin
As I force my eyes open
Into the dusk-like dawn
The lampposts buzz
Electric glaring fluorescence
False neon orbs
Wake up, wake up
And I stare back
Numb
Blinking against the light
