'Time flies when you're having fun'
I heard somebody say —
or maybe that's all part of the text,
part of the message,
part of the reminder.
We wake up at 6 AM.
Next at 9 AM.
Then it's noon.
We eat breakfast after one.
Time flies — I close my eyes and it's gone.
Is this what time well spent feels like?
A kiss on the neck, a quiet "good morning",
doing dishes together
and listening to music as we share and share and share —
our time, our space, our words, our laughs —
This is our time.
We spend it how we will.
