286: The Best Days

The best days are those

where she doesn't have to talk;

when she doesn't nervously wait

for an answer from somebody else.

The best days are those

where she isn't forced to conform;

where she completes her work

at her own pace

without pressure

to do it now and do it fast.

All she has to do

is do it.

It is a revelation

to be able to sit

in slow thoughts.

To allow

deviations

and distractions

that eventually

walk her back

to her task at hand,

as she is allowed

to just exist.
