She thinks that sometimes
it is easier to love another
than what is right before her eyes.
There is a familiar rhythm,
comforting,
only found in watching from afar,
and if she looks again
at what is right before her,
she will have to recreate
her entire being as she recognises
that there is somebody who loves her
with her flaws and inefficiencies,
the way she is right now,
and refuses to push her to be
somebody else.
