268: "Growing Up"

"Growing up": getting a steady income; finding a pleasant job; a private home; a partner; holidays; dealing responsibly with issues; making your own dinners.

"Growing up" is glamorous.

(We don't mention the 3AM pot noodles.)

"Growing up" is an aspiration.

(We don't mention longingly looking at the monkey bars.)

"Growing up" is an expectation.

(We don't mention that all "growing up" really feels like is "conform".)
