236: I Beg Your Time

You laugh, and I give chase,
a spider
weaving fragile nets of silver
for your voice to pearl
like precious dew.
I admire them, these pearls,
these gleams, these fragments,
of you.
Moments, seconds, minutes
of your time.
With every thread I beg, but this
is something that can't be said
aloud. I leave it in the threads
and watch and listen and store
the pearls that are you.
