229: The Things We Are Too Used To

Window panes
Closed doors
Shallow breaths
Empty kitchens
The faint outlines of letters on a keyboard
Laptop screens
Blue light
The bubble of air under the screen protector on the phone
Cursory touch
Smoothness
It has to look smooth
Effortless
"Alexa, play ..."
The crow left a flower
Veins
Grooves
Groves
The splitting petals of the bulbs
revive my nerves
with a sweet sensitivity
I had forgotten.
