The world never seems so big as it does at 4am

Under a starry sky

Or simply under fairy lights

Scrolling back through old photos

I really did go to Norway

The mountains really were that high

And I really did go to Italy

The coffee was divine

And the wine was red and rich and heavy

And the nights were somehow spellbound

But the coffee becomes bland

The mornings become harsher

And the nights not so dizzying

The number of selfies is ridiculous

No matter the number of snapshots

What I least have a grasp on

Might be myself
