I don't know how people can write poems about daffodils

I could draw a daffodil

Paint a daffodil

But write about one?

What is there to say?

HELLO

YELLOW TRUMPETS

Reaching up to the sun

Bells open wide

Beaming golden

Powdery pollen

Peaking through the petals

Wide open prayers

Like open palms held up to the sky

Calling out to the Sun

To bring in the Spring
