blue ice is cold ice is layers of crystallised layers merged into rolling plasticity that grinds the rock and digs digs digs until it thaws ten fifteen twenty years then leaving clay deposits and river deltas and dales between polished mountain peaks and darling your fever runs too high these days it threatens to short circuit this blue immune system and we will have to find a different way to life if life is what we want and you want and we cling to this hope that we will adapt and bring you back to health but one day we will tell our children's children's children about the blue ice and its compressed history and it will be a tale of fiction barely preserved in the stories of the old and decrepit as we lament and wish we did things differently and beg them not to blame us for something we could have tried to change
