let us feast under the roof

of a woodland palace

surrounded by moss

until our stomachs ache

and we are drunk

on warm air and wine

and lay on our backs and watch

the incoming rainfall dripple

from the tips of leafs and twigs and sizzle

in the fireplace until it goes out

then we

content at heart

content in mind

wander

into dreamless sleep
